Working Together - 11/20/04

Okay, so the CD burner thing didn't take CD number 2 today so there's only one. Only one person so far has asked for CDs and I'm a slacker so he hasn't even gotten them yet. I'm working on it though - between going to classes, going to work, writing papers and studying for tests for my two ridiculously work-heavy classes and trying to squeeze in reasonable amounts of sleep - but it's not going to quickly.

Today's show was kind of a mess. I wrote in the list that Roxy Music - Amazona skipped but I don't think it really did. On the turntables, there's this little arm that lifts the needle up by pushing the tone arm up with this little ramp-like thing and for some reason, even when you put the little arm down (which I hardly even look at since I don't usually use it, even though I should) the little ramp doesn't go all the way down and I think that was what was making the record skip. Arrghhh.

Anyway, other than that and aside from the fact that I only played CDs and albums I brought from home, I thought the show went pretty well. I finally played something from the B-52's - B-52's album I got about two months ago. And I squeezed in some Magnapop and some Television - two albums (Rubbing Doesn't Help and Marquee Moon, respectively) that I own and hardly ever listen to. I played Ain't That Pretty At All by Warren Zevon because I've read a couple of things recently that talk about a great recent cover of that song but I can't remember who does it or what album it would be on.
