Working Together - 10/16/04

Okay. So the CD burner didn't work this week so no copies. Not that I've sent any out yet anyway. Played O.A.R. because of the upcoming concert.
The new Afrika Bambaataa album was on the rack and since he's the original originator, I thought I'd play a tune. And it was REALLY good.
Three from Siouxsie because I had to get something out of the car.
The Charlie Mars tune was pretty good too.
For some reason Come to Boston sounded all static-y like it was recorded from a bad radio signal but I know that's not true. It was just weird. But probably just as well because that song always makes me weepy.
Singapore Sling is a good band. I am saying this to everyone. They're good.
Mark Dawson and Aileen Morgan were on the new racks and I liked both of them.
Mandy Moore's cover of John Hiatt's Have a Little Faith in Me was, not unexpectedly, not as good as the original. I think buying her Coverage album might have been one of my biggest disappointments recently.
And that Moco thing was on the new racks as well and it was cool. The sticker on the cover said it was The Strokes meets The Doors and that it pulled it off and I can see that analogy but it was more like The Strokes than The Doors and it was pretty cool.
